Wisconsin's statewide public library marketing cohort, in collaboration with SWRLAA, released an advocacy campaign called "Speak Up for Libraries." We hope this campaign will run through the fall, in tandem with the continued work to advocate for IMLS, whose legislation is up for renewal from Congress in October, and to support the libraries and library systems at a state level during the state budget process.

A toolkit for library staff is available at https://libraries.work/

This toolkit gives you the words and ideas you need to empower your staff, board, and community to advocate for Wisconsin libraries. It's a dynamic website, so check back for updates. On this page you'll find:

  • weekly actions
  • key talking points
  • social media and communication resource hub
  • examples from libraries and systems

Salutations!  Here is some more info about the New Problem Item Procedures.

Red Box Stickers are only to be stuck on really questionable "will-the-patron-get-billed" type of items. You can use removable tape to adhere the RBS to the item if you'd like, but make sure it is the easily removable kind.  Ask Crystal Marschall@winnefox.org if you need to purchase some.
