Date: Tuesday, September 19th -- 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Location: Oshkosh Public Library, lower level meeting room - Map & Directions
Who should attend?
This training is open to all WALS clerks and library assistants. Prior to the event, we will send a survey to all attendees asking them to self-report on their knowledge and experience with each specific topic area (more details below). Attendees will then be split into two groups, new and more experienced staff, allowing Nancy and Matt to tailor the training to those skill levels.
During this training, you will learn:
- WorkFlows and Circulation Procedures
- Training and Q&A opportunites covering Patron Accounts, Billing and Collecting Fees, Holds, and Missing and Claims Returned Procedures
- Master basic circulation skills, learn or review more advanced skills.
- After registering attendees will be sent a survey to self-report on their comfort with each specific topic. Attendees will be grouped with others at a similar skill level to allow for more basic and more advanced training.
- Customer Service Best Practices
- Patron Privacy Refresher
How to Register:
Library Directors should submit one registration with all their attending staff listed. This will help us with reimbursement. I will email attending staff members giving them more details about the day and having them fill out that skills survey for us.
