Presenter Stephanie Gerding will show how to get started, offering pointers and techniques for becoming an expert grant writer. You’ll learn the basic process of grant work, including where to look for funding sources and the key elements that go into a great proposal.

Topics include:

  • The basics of grant work and how to apply them
  • Developing grant projects using community needs and planning
  • Finding library grants and funding sources
  • Writing a proposal funders will love

Stephanie Gerding is a nationally known library consultant, trainer, and author on grants, training, and technology topics. She’s written over 20 published articles and co-authored two books on library grants, including the newly-published Winning Grants, by Neal-Schuman. Stephanie's first book, Grants for Libraries, received a starred review in Library Journal. Booklist declared [Grants for Libraries] "should be at the side of every grant-writing librarian." Her second book was published by Information Today, The Accidental Technology Trainer: A Guide for Libraries.
