Nancy Zieman, the host of the long-time running PBS show "Sewing with Nancy," is slated to speak about her new autobiography, "Seams Unlikely" at the Winneconne Public Library on Thursday, April 10 starting at 6:30.

In todays DLT electronic newsletter, libraries are reminded that the changes in the GED test have left many libraries with outdated prep materials. Todays Channel Weekly, Vol. 16, No. 21, reports "that there are hundreds of out-of-date books about GED Preparation in Wisconsin’s libraries.

The cold weather knocked down some of our Storytime attendance last week, but this week we were back bigger than ever! Next week we celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday with a really neat craft! It's the Cat in the Hat's hat, with a push-up Cat in the Hat balancing the fish in the bowl, books, etc. The kids color in the push-up part and attach it, then it comes up out of the hat! If you'd like to have a copy of the craft I can send you a pdf file. It takes some prep time, depending on your storytime ages (my staff crafter says "never again!").
