• Scholarships:
  • CE Scholarship Fund 2025-2026: At this time we do not anticipate Professional Learning funds to be available due to changes with IMLS funding of LSTA scholarships through the DPI.
  • George Bauer Continuing Education Scholarship — application deadline: June 15
    • Open to WLA members employed in a library in Wisconsin.
    • Must be planning to attend a workshop, conference, or other continuing education program within or outside Wisconsin.
  • Gloria Hoegh Scholarship for the Education of Rural Librarians — application deadline: June 15
    • Open to WLA members who are a library employee working in a Wisconsin community with a current population of 5,000 or less, or who works with library employees in those communities.
    • Must be planning to attend a workshop, conference, or other continuing education program within or outside Wisconsin.
  • Library education scholarships — to pursue a master's degree in library science (MLS) at UW-Madison iSchool or UW-Milwaukee SOIS:
    • Library Education Scholarship — application deadline: June 15
    • Diversity Scholarship — application deadline: June 15
    • Sally Davis Scholarship — application deadline: June 15
    • Vida Cummins Stanton Scholarship — application deadline: June 15
  • WLA Conference scholarship from Wisconsin Small Libraries Round Table (WISLR) — application deadline: August 1
    • Must be willing to communicate knowledge gained, especially how this knowledge can be applied to small libraries and to fellow WISL members.
    • Must be employed by a Wisconsin library or information agency with 4 FTE or less or have a service population of under 6000 people (Grade II or Grade III Certification)
    • Open to members of WLA and the Wisconsin Small Libraries Section at the time of application
