New Art Group

At the Coloma Public Library, we have a relatively new group that is meeting. They are the called the "Art Coop". They meet weekly Wednesday's at 1:30pm. They started out sketching, now they progressed to watercolor. Sometimes the more experienced painters challenge the group. We have had 25 individuals try us out, now we have 13 active members. Great time is had by all at each meeting. ☺

With 2 programs on seed starting under our belts, we have opened the seed library! We have over 100 different types of vegetables, edible flowers and flowers available to our patrons to check out. On April 18, we will once again host Everett Eckstein's Square Foot Gardening Basics program, and we will be hosting a composting program in April or May. In the fall, we'll have programs on: seed saving, canning, pressure canning and other forms of food preservation.

We are hoping to involve more and more of our community and help some of our needier families grow some of their own healthy foods, save seeds to use for next year, and store those foods for the winter!
