CCBC Choices Workshop: Great New Books for Birth - Grade 12

Please join us for this popular hands-on in-person event. Come for the day, or just the morning or afternoon!
- 9:30 - 10:30am: book browsing and light refreshments
- 10:30 - 12:00pm: Great New Books for Children, Birth - Grade 5
- 12:00-1:00: break and book browsing - Jimmy John's sandwiched provided (including "unwhich" and vegetarian options), or lunch on your own
- 1 - 2:30pm: Great New Books for Older Children and Teens, Grades 6-12
- 2:30 - 3pm: book browsing
CCBC librarians will highlight some of this year’s best books during two presentations. All of the titles from CCBC Choices 2025 will be available for hands-on book examination.
The list will not be distributed in print format; instead, you may download CCBC Choices 2024 as a PDF.
The Cooperative Children's Book Center (CCBC), located on the UW-Madison campus, serves as a children's literature noncirculating library for adults, a book examination center, and a research library. It is supported by an annual contract with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Division for Libraries and Technology.
This workshop is sponsored by the Northeastern Wisconsin (NEWI) library systems – Manitowoc-Calumet Library System, Nicolet Federated Library System, Outagamie-Waupaca Library System, and Winnefox Library System.
