A New Face in Winnefox

Welcome WALS’ newest employee, Melissa Klein!  Melissa comes to Winnefox from Lake Geneva Public Library where she worked the circulation desk. She is fresh out of grad school having completed her MLIS from UW-Milwaukee in May of 2013. Melissa has a strong background in cataloging and public service. As Melissa becomes more familiar with Winnefox and we become more familiar with her, we will start figuring out which questions can be directed her way.

For fun, Melissa writes fiction and enjoys doing the research to support her writing. She makes her own greeting cards and crochets. She gardens and likes cats, which means she should fit in very well in the library community generally and especially in the Oshkosh Public Library building!  Melissa got her BA from Ripon College, and is looking forward to being back in this area. Her Ripon library card is still in good standing, albeit expired.

Melissa’s contact information is:

She will be working in my old office in the WALS Hall—yes, I cleaned out all the stuffed animals!   FWIW, I have moved into Karen’s old office but have kept my phone number. Melissa has Karen’s old number.

Melissa’s first day will be Monday, June 2nd. We are very happy and excited to have Melissa join us!
