Bus Trip to the American Library Association (ALA) Conference in Chicago

Date: Tuesday July 14, 2009 Monday July 13, 2009

Schedule:

6:00 am   Leave Appleton Public Library (park in the ramp to east of library)
6:35 am   Leave JC Penney parking lot in Oshkosh (Hwy 44 exit)
7:00 am   Leave Forest Mall in Fond du Lac (Johnson Street exit)
4:30 pm   Leave Chicago
                Stop for dinner somewhere on way back (Kenosha?)
9:30 pm   Return to Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and Appleton

Costs:   

• $10 per person for bus trip; download the registration form , print & fill out, and send with payment
• Each participant needs to purchase their $25 “exhibits only” badge on their own:
  Download the order form  choose "Exhibits Only Badge", and mail with payment
  Free badges might become available from vendors; when we hear of their availability we'll post details on this web page.

• Lunch (in Chicago) and dinner (on the way back) is on your own

Registration:

• Send bus trip registration form and $10 payment to Winnefox, no later than May 15, 2009 June 15, 2009 June 22, 2009 July 6, 2009

Details:

• We'll start in Appleton, with stops in Oshkosh and Fond du Lac
• Transportation will be on a  56-passenger coach
• Food and drink are allowed, but we're expected to clean up our own mess
• FVLC will provide snacks for the trip down and back
