- Click the User Information and Display wizard.
- Click the Modify User wizard.
- Click the radio button for Name. Enter the borrower's last name and the first letter of his first name. Click OK.
- Find the borrower on the list of results. Highlight the correct borrower.
- Click Modify User Record.
- Click the Extended Info tab.
- Click on the box for Notes or Comments.
- Enter your note or comment. Keep in mind the following:
Both notes and comments show at checkout.
Both boxes have unlimited characters.
Both boxes can be edited without first erasing messages already there.
Begin every note or comment with the letters of your library (e.g. Neenah Public Library enters as NPL, Endeavor Public Library enters as ENPL, etc.)
Putting a date on a note is very helpful.
Enter your messages in professional language. The user could see the note or comment on his card.
- Click OK.
- Click Close to exit the window.
