Changing Item Type and Home Location

The Edit Copies Globally wizard allows you to change the item type and home location of items in the collection. This will be used for items going on to, and taken off of displays, and for items going from one collection to another, such as New Fiction going into the Fiction, Mystery, Science Fiction or Western collections.

  1. Click the Edit Copy Globally wizard .

  2. Click the box for Edit Item Type. Click the down arrow next to the box New Item Type. Click on a selection from the drop down list.

EXAMPLE: The circulation rule for DVD for OPL is 7D-50D-5M which stands for 7 day loan period, $.50 fine/day with a $5 maximum fine.
  4. Click the box for Edit Home Location. Click the down arrow next to the box New Home Location. Click on a selection from the drop down list.

Home Location refers to where the item is shelved such as Fiction, New Non-Fiction, J Picture Book.
  5. Click OK.
  6. Wand in the barcode numbers of the items to be changed.
