Use this wizard when a patron wants to pay a bill(s) associated with their record.
- Click the Pay Bill wizard

- Enter a User ID. Note that there is a Lookup User helper available.
- Click OK.

- Before making any payments, click on the glossary (the underlined money amount) for each item to determine if the bill is for a returned item, an add-a-charge or a lost item. (Remember: write a receipt for lost items).

- Enter payment information under Total Bills and Payments if you do not need to distinguish which bill is being paid. Pay off overdue fines using this function. Payments will be applied to the total, with the oldest bill being paid off first.

Enter payment under Individual Bills and Payments to pay a particular bill. Pay off lost items, damaged items, billed claims returns, and UIs using this function.
- Click on the dropdown arrow to display a list of Payment Type.

- Select OK after entering payment information.
If a patron overpays, the system automatically calculates change. If the total amount owed is not paid in full, the balance is generated.
Partial payments may be applied to total or individual bills.
Note: WorkFlows accepts up to five payments for a bill.
