Checking Materials Out and In > OverviewWhen an item is checked out to a user, WorkFlowscreates a charge record to note important data. The charge recordcontains the item identifier, the borrower identifier, the date andtime the item was charged out, and the date and time the item is dueback. Billing information may be included if an item is overdue, or hasassociated bills. The date due can be entered at the time the item is checked out, orbe assigned by Unicorn based on the circulation rules for that itemtype and that user profile. When an item is checked out, a chargerecord is created, which links the user to the item. When an item isreturned and discharged, the charge record is deleted from the database.
