- Unicorn automatically assigns the Privilege Expires date based on the user's profile. The PUBLIC profile will expire in 1, 2, or 3 years depending on your library's policy.
- The PIN field is necessary for patrons using OPAC. Erase the numbers the computer has placed in the box. Enter the last 4 digits of the user's phone number. The PIN requires an override every time.
- The default Status setting is OK for a new user. Depending on the patron's activity, this status can change. The following statuses are available in Circ WorkFlows.
OK -This status is for new users and any user in good standing.
Delinquent - If the user has outstanding bills or overdues, Unicorn assigns this status after the daily reports are run. The user can still check out items and has all the privileges associated with their profile. Unicorn warns the circulation desk staff upon checkout that the patron has bills and/or fines. These are fines in the amount of $.01 to $4.99.
Blocked - When unpaid bills, accruing fines, and/or overdue items reach a certain limit, the user cannot check out any materials without an override. This is the $5.00 limit. Unicorn automatically assigns this status through a daily report.
Barred - A user with this status may not check out materials. This status is manually assigned, and requires an override.
- The Claims Returned and Override is used to record the number of times a customer claims to have returned a book that cannot be located. Manual changes require an override.
- Enter F2 to move to the next tab (Demographics) or click on the Demographics tab itself to continue.
