WorkFlows Circulation Overview

The main goals of a library's circulation department are to charge out material to registered users and to receive and process returned material. Since record keeping plays an important role in every aspect of circulation, constant updating of the records is necessary. The Circulation module manages user, item, charge, hold, and bill information.

This section explains how to navigate and use the Standard Circulation toolbar, including the following topics:

  • User information and maintenance.
  • Charge and discharge material.
  • Circulation information attached to user and item records.
  • Create and pay bills.
  • Place and manage holds.
