Outlook Tips - How to create a recurring E-mail message
If you have messages you send out frequently, here's a simplified way of doing that. Setting it up takes a small amount of work, so please bear with me. How to: First, you want to create the message you want to recur and send it. Once it is sent, now you can set it up in your calendar. Click on your sent items folder. On the right pane, the message you are looking for should be at the top. Double-click it. Now that the message is open, click on File, and Copy to Folder. This will bring up this screen:
You want to make sure Calendar is highlighted. Then click OK, which will bring up the following screen:
On this screen, fill in all pertinent information such as Subject, Reminder information, etc. Once done with that, click on the Recurrence button which will bring up this screen:
This is where you set up when, and how frequently you want it to recur. Once those options are set, click OK. You will now be at the previous screen. Make sure everything is ok, and click Save and Close. Now, you will be reminded as often as you set it for. This is what you will see:
Click on Open Item which will bring up this screen:
Double click the envelope. This will open up the email message you originally sent. Now, click on Actions, and Resend this Message. Since you set this to recur, you will be reminded, as often as you asked it to, to send this message. |
