Outlook Tips - Organizing your E-mail messages by color
Organizing messages helps to reduce clutter in your Inbox, and to make it easier to find the messages you want. It's very useful when you are subscribed to a listserv. I'll describe how to do it with the listserv Web4Lib, but the process is the same for any message criteria you wish to sort by. How to: Click the Inbox button:
Click the Organize button:
Click on the message containing the items you want to organize by:
Choose the fields according to how you want to organize the messages. In this case, I want every message coming from Joy to be colored red. With this, you also have the ability to apply colors to messages sent directly to you. This can help to destiguish between messages sent to you, and ones part of a mass mailing. Once done, click Apply Color, and if wanted click Turn On, and you should be set. When finished, click the X in the corner of the organize frame. |
