Outlook - Basic ManualCalendar Schedule Appointments To create an appointment, first make sure you are in the calendar. How to: Click the Calendar button to bring up the calendar:
Next, make sure you are on the date you wish to make the appointment. Click the New button:
Type a subject for the appointment. After that, you can enter in a location for where the appointment is, if you want. Then, set the date and time for it to start and end. If you like, you can set a reminder for yourself if you are worried about missing the appointment. Keep in mind if you want the reminder feature to work, you need to have Outlook open. Once that is done, click in the details area and type details about the appointment. Finally, click the Save and Close button:
Alternatively, you can create an appointment two other ways: One is to highlight the time period you want the appointment to be for. Then, click the New button. Also, you can double click the time you want the appointment for. This will bring up the New Appointment window for that time.
