Archive Old E-Mail

A note on Archiving with Microsoft Outlook. Archiving was once pushed heavily as a way to help reduce storage on the mail server. Unfortunately, it was discovered that such archives were not very reliable, particularly during conversions from one mail server to another or from one version of Outlook to another. Because of this, WALS now actively discourages the use of Outlook archives. Should Outlook pop-up a message asking if you would like to archive older e-mails, do not do so and instead chose cancel.
