Outlook - Web-Based Manual

Overview

Your mailbox is located on Winnefox's Microsoft Exchange Server. When you log in to your mailbox through Squirrelmail, you are viewing your mail directly on the server, not on your local computer. If you are using the web as your primary form of access for your mail, it is important that you keep your mailbox cleaned of any unneeded messages and attachments. (Deleting messages and emptying the "Deleted Items" folder)

IMPORTANT: Remember to Sign Out after you finish.

The mailbox has three components: the Folder List, the Toolbar, and the Message Area.

Folder List

This is the area to the far left. You can use the folder list to quickly access your mail in given folders. If the folder is bold, and has a number next to it, that means you have unread messages in that folder.

Toolbar

This is the area at the very top on the right. Use the Toolbar to quickly accomplish common tasks, such as Compose new messages, view your Contacts, Search E-mail, or set your Options.

Message Area

This area displays the list of messages in a given folder, as well as, allowing you to manipulate E-mail messages.
